Home School LEGO® Days

Note: Home School Days are paused for the holidays and will resume on January 2nd, 2025.

During the School Year,
Every Thursday is LEGO® DAY!

Lego Learning

Join us on Thursdays for BRICK DAY for Home Schooled children. Take advantage of this opportunity to use LEGO® building as a way to teach building techniques, structure, logic, or any of a number of other things, or just to play!

NEW for 2025

We will be adding a series of challenges to be used each day you come in. Simply pick one of the challenges and we will provide you with other needed items for that challenge. This will provide the participants with a learning experience and a new concept each time they come.

Also new for 2025: COFFEE BAR

There will be a Keurig Coffee maker and 2-4 types of coffee along with Sugar, Creamer, Splenda and stirs. Plan to enjoy a cup of coffee and talk with other parents while the children learn with LEGO® bricks.

What is the cost?

A $5.00 fee per child provides you with access to our event/party room, Bulk LEGO bricks to work with and even access to our Race Track for building and racing your own LEGO Race Cars!

Recommended age of 5 years old and up. If you have preschool children as well, we can provide some DUPLO blocks for them to play with.

Each session starts at 10:30 am and lasts until Noon. Please complete all your activities by 12:15 so we can clean up in case we have a party scheduled for the afternoon.

Make a day of it!

Consider starting with donuts from Bigfoot's Little Donuts, visiting The Bookwyrm bookstore, Faith Skate, Sunshine Studios jewelry store or Black Rose Records in the same shopping center with us.

Note: Parents will need to stay with their children or have another parent responsible. Children are to remain in the party room during the event except for bathroom breaks. You may be required to sign a waiver regarding the possibility of a choking hazard for small children.

A learning opportunity

During the time that your students are here, we'll occasionally come in for a few minutes to teach them something about LEGO® and how LEGO® sets are assembled. This will include a number of topics including brick and part names, different types of bricks, etc.

If you would like to take the opportunity to apply lessons in physics, logic, gravity, etc., feel free to plan your own curriculum around the LEGO® materials. You can use this as a teaching opportunity, a change of pace for the children, an outing, an adventure, or just fun time. It seems to be a welcomed option for those who have attended.

Use this opportunity as an extension to your school lessons or just a break from the norm with a productive process to keep their minds working. Building with LEGO bricks stimulates the mind and encourages creativity!

Please arrive on time and pay for your participant(s) upon arrival at the store. Thanks!
